The National Afro-American Museum and Cultural Center in Wilberforce, Ohio, opened the 2026 Art of Soul! National Juried Art Show on Saturday, Oct. 24. It runs through Feb. 27, 2027.

This year's theme is "America 250: Our Story." With the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 2026, the museum asked artists to tell the nation's story through the African diaspora and African American history, culture and experience: heritage, resilience, identity and vision.

The show is juried: artists from across the country entered work, and the museum's awards ceremony was set for opening day. The opening reception was included with museum admission.
